Kaia is the daughter of Rebecca Tucker and Jed Gossman and Jake and KC St. John. Kaia is a second year Running Start student at Wenatchee Valley College. She’s been a Senate Member for three-years, ASB Secretary and is her Senior Class President. Kaia has also been involved in the school newspaper, Horticulture, and Honors Society. She has a year of work experience as tutor and mentor at a Middle School through their after school program. In her spare time, Kaia works at a skin care shop called Farm to Face and Body in Pybus Market. She also enjoys running, yoga, Pilates, writing, and painting. After graduation, Kaia plans to continue focusing her studies on Communication and Social Sciences, and hopes to major in Public Relations later at the university level.
Kaia’s favorite things
Kaia’s favorite TV show is Jane the Virgin and her favorite movie is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Her favorite album is Our Endless Numbered Days by Iron and Wine, and her favorite book is a spin off of Peter Pan called Tiger Lily. She is most inspired by her mother. A silver pendant inscribed with a tree is her favorite keepsake.
Kaia’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley, besides Apple Blossom, is to explore the downtown area and riverfront trail. Her proudest moment in life was raising $1,000 for the Humane Society during an 8 hour fundraiser last spring. Kaia could trade places with anyone for the day, she would trade places with the people she has had conflict with.
Kaia feels she should represent the Wenatchee Valley because she is naturally outgoing, optimistic and kind. She loves community outreach and creating authentic connection with anyone and everyone she meets.
