Apple Blossom Candidate Haley Gilman

Top Ten Candidate Haley Gilman

Haley is the daughter of Ken and Denise Gilman. Haley has been her School’s FFA Chapter President and is currently the Washington FFA’s District VII President. She’s also been a member of her High School’s Drama Club since her Freshman year. Her involvement in Stage Kids and volunteering at the Numerica Performing Arts Center keeps Haley busy. In her free time, she loves driving around with her friends, listening to new musicals, and playing games. After graduation, Haley hopes to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a degree in Agricultural Education.

Haley’s favorite things

Haley’s favorite TV show is Atypical and her favorite movie is Grease. “She Used to Be Mine” by Sara Bareilles is her favorite song and her favorite novel is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. She is most inspired by her family. Haley’s most treasured keepsake is the book collection her Nana gave her when she was little.

Besides Apple Blossom, Haley’s favorite thing to do in the Valley is getting involved and volunteering in her community, especially through theater. Her proudest moment in life was seeing her whole chapter waiting for her after placing in Extemporaneous Speaking at State. If Haley could trade places with anyone for the day, it would be her role model and FFA Advisor, Miss Jennifer Crane.

Why Haley?

Haley feels she should represent the Wenatchee Valley because she’s been involved in the Festival before and would love to continue as an advocate for the Valley’s values.
