Meet Top 10 Candidate Elizabeth Popoff

Candidate Elizabeth Popoff

Elizabeth is the daughter of Don and Lisa Popoff. Elizabeth is the Red Zone leader for the student section her high school’s athletic events, editor in chief for her school’s yearbook, and involved in leadership positions including Natural Helpers and Link Leader. Elizabeth has been a competition dancer at the Academy of Dance and Performing Arts and Fabulous Feet Dance Studio for nearly fourteen years, works as a teacher at Fabulous Feet, and interned at RH2 Engineering for the past two summers. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, watching movies, and going on coffee dates with her friends. After graduation, Elizabeth plans to major in biochemistry in addition to continuing her passion for dance.

Elizabeth’s favorite TV show is Friends and her favorite movie is Tangled. Her favorite song is “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson and her favorite books are the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. She is most inspired by her dad and her most treasured keepsake is the necklace that hangs from the mirror in her car.

Elizabeth’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley, besides Apple Blossom, is to enjoy the many different local restaurants with her friends and family, biking the loop trail, and the 300 days of sunshine. Her proudest moment in life was teaching young children their roles for the Wenatchee Valley Nutcracker and having them perform in front of four sold-out shows. If Elizabeth could trade places with anyone for the day, she would trade places with Misty Copeland. Elizabeth feels she should represent the Wenatchee Valley because she has a passion for meeting people, being a positive role model for young girls, and has a love for the Valley and the Apple Blossom Festival.
