Meet Candidate Lauren Thompson

Lauren is the daughter of Andrew and Anita Thompson. Lauren is an active member in the drama club as well as International Thespian Society and participates in National Honor Society. Lauren serves as a youth leader at her church and manages the lighting board for events held at her church, as well as directing church productions. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, drawing, reading, and going camping. After graduation, Lauren plans on majoring in film or creative writing.

Lauren’s favorite TV show is Downton Abbey and her favorite movie is The Count of Monte Cristo. Her favorite song is “Feeling Good” by Michael Bublé and her favorite novel is The Princess Bride by William Goldman. She is most inspired by her mom and her most treasured keepsake is a ring her parents bought for her.

Lauren’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley is eating ice cream at the Owl Soda Fountain. Her proudest moment was the first time she received a role that had more than two lines in a school production. If Lauren could trade places with anyone for a day, she would trade places with Queen Elizabeth II so she could be surrounded by all her corgis. Lauren feels that she should represent Wenatchee Valley because she truly thinks that Wenatchee is one of the best places to live and loves Apple Blossom. She also sees this as an excellent way to connect with more people in the community.
