Apple Blossom Candidate 5 – Jessica Murray

Enjoy our interview with Jessica Murray, a Top Ten Apple Blossom Royalty Candidate.

Meet Candidate Jessica Murray

Jessica is the daughter of Bill and Jodi Murray. Jessica is her high school’s activities coordinator, co-president of Random Acts of Kindness Club, and a member of Honor Society. Jessica is a Math is Cool instructor and she volunteers at the humane society. Her hobbies include: hiking, watching movies, and spending time with her pets. After graduation, Jessica plans to attend a university and double major in mathematics and business.

Jessica’s favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy and her favorite movie is The Vow. Her favorite song is “Big Jet Plane” by Angus and Julia Stone and her favorite novel is The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. She is most inspired by her teachers and her most treasured keepsake is a framed photograph with her brothers dressed up as Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and Tinkerbell from her first Halloween.

Jessica’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley, besides Apple Blossom, is to cheer on her school at sporting events. Her proudest moment in life was receiving a varsity letter for volunteering over 200 hours in our community. If Jessica could trade places with anyone for a day, she would trade places with Reese Witherspoon because of her promotion for women in leadership positions and advocacy for children’s education. Jessica feels she should represent the Wenatchee Valley because besides loving the festival, she believes her leadership skills and positivity would be a strong asset to serving a community that has given her so much.
