The past week has been a bad one for freeway warning signs.
And yet again, it was a state sign on Interstate 90 near Moses Lake.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says a rental truck hit the truck-mounted directional sign Tuesday.
It happened on the same stretch of freeway as last Thursday’s accident.
In that incident, a semi swerved to avoid another vehicle and hit a portable message sign. There were no injuries in either incident.
The DOT said it is becoming an unfortunate pattern.
“We are grateful no one was hurt, but concerned about what is becoming a more frequent, yet preventable occurrence,” the department tweeted.
