American League Wild Card Race

Seattle’s win combined with Toronto’s loss puts the Mariners in front of the Blue Jays in the Wild Card Race. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton each homered in the Yankee’s 7-2 win in Toronto.

Meanwhile, Baltimore held Boston to 2-runs on 3-hits in a 4-2 win. That puts the Mariners a half-game back of the Red Sox for the second Wild Card spot. New York is now two games up on Boston.

Moses Lake blanked Sunnyside 7-nil. Cashmere shut out Cascade 4-nil. Chelan got by Quincy 5-3. Tonasket topped Brewster 6-1. Manson beat Bridgeport 1-nil. Liberty Bell popped Pateros 4-nothing. And Okanogan had no trouble with Lake Roosevelt, winning 9-to-1.

Eastmont took down Eisenhower in East Wenatchee 3-zip. Wenatchee shut out Davis 25-21, 12 and 9. Sunnyside topped Moses Lake in four sets 27-25, 20-25, 25-19 and 25-10.

Ephrata stunned 6th-ranked Ellensburg in 5-sets 25-21, 25-27, 25-19, 25-27 and 15-6. The Tigers remain the only unbeaten team in the CWAC.

In Caribou Trail League play, Cashmere swept Cascade while Chelan took three from Quincy.

On the B-courts last night, Manson swept Lake Roosevelt, Okanogan beat Liberty Bell in three sets, and Entiat shut out Moses Lake Christian 3-nothing.
