After vehicle is carjacked at gunpoint, deputies chase, then arrest suspect

Investigators are still piecing together the details, but a man has been arrested for carjacking a vehicle at gunpoint Wednesday morning near Moses Lake and leading deputies on a crash-filled chase.

Kyle Foreman of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said at least three other vehicles were hit or forced off the road during the pursuit just after 8 a.m.

Foreman said a man’s vehicle was carjacked at a home in the Mae Valley area before a pursuit that led to the suspect’s arrest about 10 miles away on Road 6 Northwest.

Nobody was injured and the suspect, who has not yet been named, was arrested without incident.

Foreman said he was still awaiting details on the circumstances that led to the carjacking.
