Account set up to help Manson firefighter, youth pastor in his cancer battle

A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist Manson volunteer firefighter and youth pastor Erfin Alejo who is preparing to undergo treatment for colon cancer.

The 40-year-old Alejo and his wife Temmy have three children, with their oldest daughter Maddi currently a Manson Apple Blossom princess.

Alejo will be receiving treatment later this month at New Hope Hospital in Arizona and will need to live at the hospital for two weeks, according to his GoFundMe page.

In addition, he will need to self-administer white blood cell shots for the next four to five months after returning from Arizona.

Alejo, the Youth/Worship Pastor at North Shore Bible Church, has also served as a youth mentor at both Chelan High School and the Thrive Teen Center in Chelan.

“The cost of treatment from New Hope Hospital, including travel expenses, will come to roughly $40,000, his GoFundMe page reads. “New Hope Hospital only intakes 5 cancer patients at a time due to COVID restrictions, and Efren has already been selected as one lucky patient.”
