Plans advance to relocate Lake Chelan Hospital


Lake Chelan Hospital’s Board of Commissioners approves a public vote for relocation of the hospital.

More than 30 people gathered in the Hospital’s (LCCH) board room this week to find out what direction the board of commissioners would take on the future of their facilities.

The review began with a debrief from the community forums held in October, and ended with a selection by the board for a resolution asking CEO Kevin Abel to work toward developing financial projections to bring to the community for a public vote on a bond.

“No option is not an option. We have to move forward on this issue,” Abel said after reviewing the five options…
