(East Wenatchee, WA)…Eastmont’s girls basketball team used great defense and hustling offensive plays to stay right with Moses Lake Saturday at Eastmont High School with the game tied at 26 with 1:15 remaining in the 3rd. But that’s when the Chiefs began a 26-oh run to put the game out of reach winning 55-35.
Jamie Loera scored 9 of her game-high 24-points in the 3rd quarter and it was her fall away jumper with 1:15 to go that started the Moses Lake onslaught. Ellie Mayo followed with a three-point bomb and the run was on. Eastmont was held to 11-points over the final 9:15 of the game.
Kalea Bokma scored 12-points to lead the Wildcats as Eastmont’s Big-9 record fell to 3-7. The 2nd-ranked Chiefs improved to 7-2 with the win.
