The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival is “Marching On” in 2021, despite the global pandemic. The unofficial kickoff to the festival Saturday was the Cashmere Valley Bank Royalty Selection Pageant. Crowned to reign over the 2021 Apple Blossom Festival were Queen Brooke Perez and Princesses Kody Richards and Kamryn Fowler.
Perez receives a $10,000 scholarship from the Wenatchee Applearians. Richards and Fowler receive $5,000 scholarships each from the Apple Blossom Royalty Scholarship Fund. The remaining seven Top 10 candidates receive $1,000 scholarships from The Floor Factory and Garry and Patti Sparks.
Several other awards were handed out Saturday night as well. They include:
Most Photogenic – Brooke Perez ($500 gift card from Parson’s Photography and $200 gift card from Ulta Beauty & Ever After Studio)
Congeniality Award – Olga Murillo ($1,000 scholarship from Holmberg Dentistry)
Community Involvement Award – Kamryn Fowler ($1,000 State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship)
Achievement Award – Kody Richards ($1,000 scholarship from Davis, Arneil Law Firm)
Most Original Speech – Sophia Hernandez ($1,000 scholarship from Kottkamp, Yedinak and Elsworthy Law Firm)
