OMAK — An Omak man is accused of fatally stabbing one man and injuring another in an early Tuesday altercation.
Police booked 19-year-old Tayler Ray Davis into the Okanogan County Jail on Tuesday evening. He’s suspected of stabbing 31-year-old Keith Riehart to death at an Omak home about 3:30 a.m., and leaving a 25-year-old man with knife wounds.
Police summoned to the scene found Riehart dead in the middle of West Third Street near South Douglas Street, Omak Police Chief Jeff Koplin said Wednesday. The 25-year-old victim, a relative of Riehart, remained hospitalized Wednesday morning.
Koplin said a fight among the three men outside the home apparently escalated to involve a baseball bat. Davis allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the two men before fleeing.
Police arrested Davis at a home on Sand Flat Road northeast of Omak. He underwent treatment for minor injuries at Mid-Valley Hospital before being jailed. Davis faces likely charges of second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
