Rep Newhouse Praises Tax Reform Bill

WASHINGTON DC- Congress is expected to take a final vote this morning on the tax reform bill and it could be ready for the President’s signature by later this afternoon.

Among the elements included in the bill is the elimination of the individual mandate element of the Affordable Care Act which 4th District Congressman, Dan Newhouse says the reforms will benefit a large number of constituents in his Central Washington District.

He commented during a House Rules Committee hearing on Monday.

The individual mandate requires people to purchase health care insurance or pay a fine when filing their Federal income tax.
