Two arrested in landscaping fraud investigation

WENATCHEE – Detectives with the Wenatchee Police Department served a search warrant for a case of a landscaping business operating after their license had been revoked by the State of Washington. This business, Rafael’s Company, had not paid taxes on their business since 2016. Detectives also received complaints from elderly citizens being overcharged for work or being charged for work that was never completed. The operators of the business, Rafael E. Amezcua, 57 of Wenatchee, and his son, 32-year-old Rafael G. Amezcua, Jr., also of Wenatchee, were arrested and charged with four counts each of Business License violations.
