WENATCHEE – Earlier today (Thu), the NCW Economic Development District held its 2nd annual NCW Regional Tourism Summit and Workshop. Topics covered included a step-by-step business planning workshop and how to prepare and respond to unforeseen natural and man-made disasters.
Also on hand was a representative of the Okanogan Tourism Association from British Columbia who presented a Route 97 report on how all cities and businesses along Route 97 can work together to increase tourism dollars.
Shiloh Schauer, Executive Director of the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce, also presented an update on the state-wide tourism marketing program.
The economic development district is a federally-designated economic development district covering Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan Counties as well as the Colville Confederated Tribes.
