QUINCY- A vehicle versus pedestrian accident yesterday morning in Quincy sent a local resident to a Seattle hospital in critical condition and closed the road for almost five hours.
Sergeant Chris Lafferty of the Quincy Police Department tells us what happened. . .
“A quarter-after 11 in the morning we responded a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on the corner of 4th avenue and State Route 28,” Lafferty said. “We arrived and located a subject that had be struck by a vehicle and was semi-conscious.”
Lafferty said paramedics stabilized the man, ready for transport to the hospital.
“Life flight was called, I believe a helicopter transported him to Moses Lake where he was then transported I believe by jet to Harborview,” Lafferty said.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit assisted on the incident, investigating for five hours while the road was closed. The name of the victim has not been released.
