Kite Festival to fill the skies of Entiat

The seventh annual Entiat Kite Festival will deliver a full days worth of family-friendly fun this Saturday at the Kiwanis Park.

“We’ve really expanded this event,” said organizer Alan Moen. “From the very beginning I decided we needed something to involve the community and children who love to fly kites.”

Moen said he found a kite manufacturer in Seattle who produces simple kites for kids for decorating.

Participants of all ages will be able to decorate a free kite and enjoy live music at the free event, with more than 200 free kites available.

The event also includes a magic show and prizes, running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
