Chelan County Fire District 7 responded to a car fire at Lakeview Drive-In located at 323 West Manson Highway in Chelan, Washington at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
The car, a 1963 Ford Galaxy, was engulfed in flames coming from the engine.
According to the passenger of the car, the driver had received the car from an uncle uncle and was out for a test drive after working on the vehicle that afternoon.
“With cars like these, people work on them at home and sometimes these things happen,” Chelan Fire Chief Tim Lemon stated.
A car parked close the the Ford was damaged, but no injuries were reported.
