ELLENSBURG-Central Washington University’s football game against Azusa Pacific this fall will be broadcast to a national audience on ESPN3. The Ellensburg School made the announcement today that their October 28th game will be part of 18 game featured this season for the 2017 NCAA Division II Football Showcase.
Central Athletic Director Dennis Francois says, “It is not routine for programs at our level to garner a national audience, so we are thankful and honored that the NCAA and ESPN chose to broadcast a NCAA Division II Football Showcase game from our campus.” This will be Central’s second time on the showcase. The first was in 2015 when the Wildcats played at Colorado State University Pueblo.
Central Washington will play an 11-game schedule beginning September 2nd at Texas A&M Kingsville. The Wildcat’s first home game will be September 9th against GNAC (Great Northwest Athletic Conference) against Western Oregon University.
